Introducing Firefly Children’s Foundation
We have started an inspiring new chapter, officially unveiling our new name and identity: Firefly Children’s Foundation.
140 guests came together at iLA on Light Square on May 14 to witness the unveiling of the new name and logo.. Hosted by 7NEWS Adelaide Presenter Sarah Cumming, the evening featured addresses from Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC, Governor of South Australia, Frank Hegerty, Head of Private Wealth from the event presenting partner Ord Minnett, , followed by Board Chair, Paul Jury.
The meaning behind our new name was broght to life through iLA’s 360 degree digital screens, The name ‘Firefly’ captures the essence of what we stand for. Like the flicker of a firefly, each piece of research begins as a small but significant discovery. On its own, each moment matters. Together, these sparks create a collective light, guiding better outcomes for children, from preconception through to early childhood and beyond.
While our name has changed, our purpose remains unchanged – to help improve the health, educationand wellbeing outcomes of South Australian children.
This next chapter is about building on that legacy, bringing people, partnerships and ideas together to amplify our impact. As we look to the future, our focus is clear: to support early interventions, fuel research and innovation, and help give every child the best possible start in life.
Thank you to iLA for hosting this special event, to the South Australian Public Primary School Choir for their beautiful performance, and to the event’s presenting partner Ord Minnett.
